Life-Saving Medical Equipment Donation to Pakistan Amid COVID-19 Crisis

The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to healthcare systems worldwide, and Pakistan was no exception. One of the most pressing issues faced by the country during this crisis was the severe shortage of ventilators, essential for treating critically ill patients suffering from respiratory complications. Recognizing this urgent need, Fair Medical Co., Ltd., the parent company of Fair Traders in Pakistan, stepped forward to support Pakistan’s healthcare sector by donating vital medical equipment worth 30 million Pakistani rupees.

Our donation included 1 CT scanner, 17 ventilators, and 1 fluoroscopy machine, all of which played a crucial role in strengthening Pakistan’s capacity to combat the pandemic. The importance of ventilators during this time cannot be overstated. Hospitals across Pakistan were struggling with an overwhelming influx of COVID-19 patients, many of whom required intensive care and respiratory support. By providing 17 ventilators, Fair Medical Co., Ltd. contributed to saving countless lives and alleviating the burden on healthcare professionals battling the virus on the frontlines.

The Pakistani government highly appreciated our donation, recognizing the significance of this timely support. Former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi acknowledged and expressed gratitude for our contribution, emphasizing the strong bond between Japan and Pakistan in times of need. Our efforts were also appreciated by various officials, including

Mr. Tahir Habib Cheema, who was then serving as the Trade & Investment Counselor at the Pakistan Embassy in Japan and is now the Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

At Fair Medical Co., Ltd. and Fair Traders, we believe in making a difference beyond business. Our donation to Pakistan during the COVID-19 crisis reflects our core values of compassion, responsibility, and international cooperation. We are proud to have contributed to saving lives and supporting a country in need. Moving forward, we remain committed to assisting healthcare sectors worldwide, ensuring better medical accessibility and preparedness for future challenges.

We extend our gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for their acknowledgment and look forward to continuing our mission of providing high-quality medical equipment to nations across the globe.
